BMC Team Machine SLR01 SPECIAL!!

The BMC Team Machine SLR01 was launched in 2010 as BMC's top competition frame they offered. Anyone who'd rode the bike will tell you that it's nothing less than exhilarating. Being a previous BMC Owner (2009 BMC Pro Machine SLC01), I have to say I'm very impressed with the improvements that they've made on the Team Machine SLR01. The 2011 Team Machine climbs with no effort, in or out of saddle, the bike just continues to move forward viscously with every pedal stroke. The new front fork with the tapered headset just increases lateral stiffness by a significant margin where even a beginner rider would notice and appreciate the difference. During the descends, the bike feels as if it were on rails. Smooth, agile, confident- these words are what I would use to describe the descending experience, and it is more than compliant for long, leisure rides. With the frameset coming in at right about 2 pounds, this is one sweet ride. Capable of performing at a race level, yet comfortable enough to be a weekend warrior.

On top of a great frame to start out on, this build is set with the famous SRAM Red Grouppo. The Reds comes in as one of the lightest grouppo on the market; ceramic bearings in the rear derailleur pulleys, carbon crankset, and carbon shift levers all help with achieving this task. With their double-tap technology, it makes shifting a breeze no matter where you are on the handle bar.

Top it all off with a great wheelset from Easton, the EA90 SLX comes in at 1380g (claimed weight) just provides what this bike needs to be one of the best out there.
