April 14th, 2011, marks a new day for Ibis. Being a Nor-cal based manufacture, it isn't surprising that they chose the same date as Sea Otter Classic opening day to release their brand new frame (not that we're complaining since we'll be down there as well to gawk at the new frameset). Make sure to stop by Ibis' booth this weekend to see it in person.
Introducing their all new, Mojo SL-R. Still a familiar appearance, but with a whole new design. It's lighter (frame comes in just under 5 pounds) using a single piece of carbon fiber monocoque lay for frame and swingarm, it's stiffer (80%-90% the stiffness of Mojo HD), and with 142mm Maxle rear through axle for extra rear wheel stiffness, it is an extremely lightweight package with the additional stiffness for a trail bike.
