TGIF is often used when we reach the end of our work week. So to add to the cheerful moods of those getting ready to start their weekend (and those of you whom already left work early due to some "emergency"), here are some GREAT shots of Colnago frames displayed at the Tokyo Bike Exhibition this past week. We have here a great assortment of Colnagos available now for 2012!

Revisit: 2011 Le Tour de France for BMC Racing Team
With the 2011 Le Tour de France over, we are certain there are some cyclists out there who misses all the action and excitement from watching the tour. Here's a video clip from BMC-Racing showing what the tour was like for these guys.
We can see from this video that it was more than just Cadel's talents that played a contribution to his victory of 2011 Le Tour de France, but it was also the hard work of the entire BMC Racing Team that helped with Cadel's victory. More info on bikes used through the tour are available through our site's BMC page, or contact our BMC specialist Brad for any specific questions or help with placing your order.
Colnago EPQ
Here we have a Colnago EPQ frameset in white for one of our clients. The EPQ frame is an evolution from the previous popular EPS frame.
The EPQ is quite similar to the C59 Italia. Instead of the "master" style tubing, it is made with round tubing which allows the frame to keep the lateral stiffness needed to perform, but offering a more comfortable ride quality than the C59 Italia.

2012 Shimano Ultegra Di2 Intro
This is just one of the few insight to the new electronic shifting presented by Shimano for 2012. Ultegra Di2 looks to be quite promising, with little compromise in performance, and a lot of money saved! Here's a video clip showing off the new 2012 Shimano Ultegra Di2
Yes, this was in Mandarin Chinese, but it does show you how well the grouppo works. Stay tuned on more news on this new grouppo from Shimano!

2011 Intense M9 with Fox DHX RC4
Here's a closer look at a 2011 Intense M9 with Fox DHX RC4 we've received for one of our clients. This is the Chrome Black color, and it is definitely one of the nicest paint we've seen.
This is the end all World Cup racing downhill frame. It will eat up anything you throw at it and can be adjusted for any kind of course.

Bike Fit 411
Bike fit is something that we provide as a service through our bike builder, it is often dismissed by shops simply to complete a bike sale thus making the bike ride uncomfortable or more exhausting than exhilarating. For those that are local pick-ups, we're able to go in further and take some time to adjust the forward/aft of saddle position as well as dial in the rest of your positioning to the millimeter.
Often times we hear responses such as "Is this low enough to be fast?" or "Is the drop set properly to my saddle?". Well, just like anything else in this world, not all two things are made identical. Some people can withstand a more aerodynamic position to achieve the max body performance, where as some can achieve their max body performance being more up-right. Simply put, "to each their own".

Team Europcar wins Stage 19!
Although Thomas Voeckler was not able to retain the yellow jersey after today's brutal climbing stage, Team Europcar was still in the highlights. Pierre Rolland took home stage 19 today after some tough attacks delivered by Alberto Contador.
The French celebrate today as Pierre Rolland is the first French rider since Bernard Hinault back in 1986 to win the L'Alpe d'Huez! The second Voeckler knew he was no longer keeping the yellow jersey, he gave Rolland the signal to go ahead, and Pierre did just that. On top of taking home a historic stage win, he gained the points to be in the White Jersey at the finish.

Edvald Boasson Hagen of Team Sky takes another stage win at 2011 Le Tour de France!
After coming in second to Thor Hushovd in stage 16, Edvald Boasson Hagen decided that today he will eliminate all competition. The young 24-year-old Norwegian star went into the 14-man break and timed a perfect attack during the final climb of the day with 11km left.

Thomas Voeckler and his custom Colnago C59 Italia
This is a great photo of Thomas Voeckler of Team Europcar on his custom Colnago C59 Italia.
Voeckler was awarded this custom C59 Italia after taking over the yellow jersey of Le Tour de France this past Sunday. Ernesto Colnago did the final inspection himself on this frame, it doesn't get anymore VIP than that.

Kid dancing between innings at a baseball game
Now normally we post things that relate to cycling, but every so often, we do have to post some of the amazing things that are just worth watching.Check this kid out during the break between innings
Gotta give this kid's parents some credit for letting him get out there and showing off his moves.

Highland Bike Park and Contour GPS camera make for a great day of riding!
While on vacation last week in Boston, I took a day to head up to beautiful New Hamphshire to check out Highland Bike Park. If you are ever in New England be sure to head up to Northfield, New Hampshire and check this place out! For many of us there is the misconception that bike parks are for hardcore freeride or downhill riders. This simply is not true and Highland Bike Park does an excellent job of making the park open to every skill level. Are there ten plus foot drops? Yes. Are there ridiculously steep and rocky terrain? Yes. While all of that is fun, really fun, for advanced riders, there are smooth, fast and flowy singletrack runs that literally every mountain biker can have a blast on! Check out the video below I took with our new Contour GPS camera that were sent to us just days before I left on my trip. Thanks Contour! If you like the quality of video you see with the GPS mapping which shows your route on a map along with your elevation and speed, feel free to contact me. I will be happy to share my experience of using the camera with you.

Chilcotin: Named for BC’s remote back country wilderness area where grizzlies are at the top of the food chain, weather can change from Hades to hailstorm in an instant and the single track is truly epic.
